He bowls too fast and what little turn he might get from his variety of "mystery" balls is negated.
Mate he’s got about 50 variations of the straight ball.

Naqvi won't get into the team so quickly. May be another year or so.

I don't understand the hate for Jongwe, yes he had a bit of brain fade at the end but in T20 format he is good. Ervine simply doesn't bowl him enough. He is a decent T20 bowler and batter. Ervine doesn't know how to use his resources.

Zimbabwe also continuously waste the option of playing an extra batter, the fact that they have Raza, Williams, Burl abd Madhevere, is a luxury teams die for. That gives an opportunity to play an extra batsman... But we keep playing Ndlovu, Wellington, Chisoro... Some specialist spinner which is not needed. This spot could go to a batter... Teams are dying for such luxury but Zimbabwe just waste it.

The interesting thing is that if you stream some of the domestic games you see bottle jobs regularly. Interesting and concerning at the same time. I can't explain it.

If the game isn't bottled by 1 team you are bound to see someone just miss a 50 or century or you will see some terrible bowling in crunch overs. Can't explain it.

Today I questioned Ervine's captaincy

Bottle jobs or the most heroic innings you’ll ever see yo.

No middle ground of playing sensibly and getting over the line.

Just like Bob bottled being the president of one of the most modern developed countries in Africa

We lack tough cricketers. Lack of competition for spots and guys who know they're almost guaranteed a spot regardless.
Also lack of pre-season prep. Games too close together so limited opportunity to practice mid season.
Lack of rivalry between teams and players. Partly because of a small pool, most people are good mates. Too much swapping of players and coaches between clubs and franchises. Basically not too much at stake.

Holy shit. We were chasing 101 and we lost. That's inexcusable for me.

Dave needs to make some serious changes to the batting department. Matsi needs to go. He needs to bring in a proper batting coach. Next thing he needs to do is start cutting some of the dead weight. Implement a proper development plan and put together a 2nd and 3rd string side that works on the same plan so that if called up to the 1st team, they are ready to go.

We also desperately need a team sports psychologist or counsellor because these guys have no mental fortitude whatsoever.

What's the plan now? It appears to be fly home, play 2 weeks of domestic 50-over cricket, and then back to Namibia hoping we are much better at T20 cricket suddenly in time for the qualifiers?

We really need Williams, Wellington, Blessing and Evans back fit because christ I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Akram, Mumba, K-long and co have an off day and lose to a Uganda or someone and fuck up qualification.

I didn't watch the game , but seriously what is Ervine doing ? His captaincy is very poor, the 2 best bowlers today were Ngarava and Chatara yet they didn't bowl out their 4 overs ? Unbelievably poor , no match awareness at all and it happens time and time again in different scenarios.
Don’t think this is warranted
I forgot the game was today but looking at the scorecard yo chatara was 2 balls from completing his 4 over spell and they had an over in hand, which was obviously going to be Ngarava. They just bowled them out before it got that far.
When you are in a comanding position you don't bring them back for the 19th and 20th over. To wait until the spinners bowled there full quota is just crazy. It is warranted and another reason why Zim will remain where it is with a losers mindset like that .
