It was a terrific innings...my opinion hasn't changed but he was chanceless for the first 50 runs at least (I passed out after 13 overs).

A better showing from the Zimbabwe batsmen today, great to see Hammy getting back into form. He can be our best opener if he gets his crap together. Let's hope this isn't just Santa Claus showing up once per year.
Our bowling lacks teeth, especially when defending a total.

Can't defend 300 target, and this Zimbabwe showed distress on moving them to Tier 2 Test System.
Odi win in the first match was a huge upset.
4-1 is near.

It's funny how quickly our expectations rise here, after what we've seen over the last few years did anyone think we'd have two scores over 300 after 3 games?
Our bowling let us down in this one, I didn't follow the bowling innings but from what I can gather we dropped a few chances and may have missed a review?
I am concerned that our bowling hasn't really improved under the coaching of Ntini & Streak. Can't really say any of the seamers have got better Chatara is getting back to his WC 15 form whilst Mpofu & Ngarava were good on seamer friendly decks against Afghanistan they've been average since. I can see Panyangara being selected again next series as Zimdoggy pointed out numerous times we seem to just keep recycling the same players. Hopefully Mumba gets a few more games this series and takes some wickets ......

Sri Lankan Pitches are flat. Pacers who can bowl over 140 can get help. Only Wrist Spinners with skill can trouble this Sri Lankan Side. Zimbabwe spinners doesnt have much quality even Cremer doesnt spin much. Paul Strang is the only spinner from Zimbabwe had much success in Sri Lanka because of variations.
Ntini is a bowling coach for more then 1 year now , and he failed to bring new talent from Zimbabwe, none of the pace bowlers looked threatening since the era of Brandes, Streak, Olonga.
Bowling looked to be some promosing when Vitori - Jarvis formed a pair
in 2013.
Ngarava, Mpofu, Mumba, Chatara, Panyangara, Madziva, Tiripano, Muzarbani's bowling doesnt look to have any venom or penetration, where the opponents remain afraid and aware off, to just playout them without giving them wickets. 120-130kph bowlers will not be able to trouble Sri Lankan Batsman.
Carl Mumba & Richard Ngarava look strong and has the height, but serious pace is missing from them.
