And golf. And if its got a heart beat, kill it and eat it. That picture of two Chinese staring at a couple of aliens walking out of a flying saucer and the one chinaman turns to his mate and says - I wonder what they taste like? is very apt.
As all African countries disintegrate from shocking misgovernance and their leaders continue to accept "help" from China they have opened a door to a vast problem looming just over the horizon. Greedy and shameless leaders quietly selling their countries resources for a pittance. Nobody says anything.
Their footprint here is massive. They quietly do what they want. Very soon they'll realise they can come out of the long grass and reveal themselves because nobody will be able to do anything about it.

So you think ZC are going to buy him out of his 3-year lucrative Yorkshire contract? That's 300k+ already, then you've got to pay a similar salary to that again.

They can't even afford to bin Rajput properly.
If BT was on his original contract until he retired he made almost $1 million between September 2017 and September 2021.

He was a fairly big name in cricket. If you're part of a team that wins occasionally and there's interest in the game, both home and abroad and the team is marketable big salaries are easily dealt with and thats exactly how it should be. He's drawn some negative publicity here because he was so much better paid and thats completely wrong, in fact that info was probably leaked for the wrong reasons.

I see he's opened up some nets and is offering coaching at $50 an hour. He'll get some takers at that price. Those are UK rates. That guy should be advising/coaching our franchise players not young kids with money.
A good player doesn't necessarily a good coach make, especially the repetitive basics for kids. It will be interesting to see how he goes.

Once you win some games, especially the occasional game against a big side you're suddenly talking TV rights and that's a big deal. That in itself is a reason to take a punt on guys like Ballance and Cartright. ZC now rely solely on ICC money and they've been magnanimous for reasons unknown. Just hosting qualifiers has to be lucrative, or at the very least gives money for upgrading grounds. Other countries have stadiums, we have grounds that fall into disrepair through outright neglect.

Does anyone know if they're being televised or are we relying on broken GoPros tied with wire to sidescreens and being subjected to exciting Afghan adverts?
Where's our broadcasting truck?

We need a new plan and fast. ZC have taken us down a steep cul-de-sac.

A few years back Doug Higgins ran that CFX indoor at Country Club. He had Robin Brown working for him and they were busy. I don't know the numbers but at least 10-20 players a day, plus school sides and proper quality coaching. Robin Brown knew a lot about batting. The place was built by Dominus Sports money.
Now it's a wedding and functions venue run by Mr Bvute.
Who wants to get married in a warehouse? That's not a good start to married life

I recall there was some controversy because he was unhappy at getting a big pay reduction after that sweet taibu contract that was I think, 2 years only.
Also coincides with that didisntersted BT. It’s hard to get a pay reduction and perform.
It’s why nrl stars are moved on as opposed to offered a payout to stay. Messes with motivation.

I've watched him in a couple of club games. He pitched up with minutes to spare, never took part in the warm-ups, was very quiet and never offered much. Just didn't get involved or seem to enjoy himself. He could have breezed in and really made an impact with the younger guys but he never did. Didn't actually seem to want to be there. I've never seen Ervine, Williams or Raza play a club game either. Maybe they have but its not often.

Now that Ratshit is gone, I was thinking they should have made him director of domestic cricket, meaning that he would have to stay in the country and oversee the Logan cup, or get fired if he didn’t.
