Blignaut, Ewing set for comebacks

Don't let the title mislead you :D As coaches, not players.

2015 wouldn't be complete without a blignaut comeback story.
Definitely a positive move and googly will be happy Walter has the boot.

I'm just concerned this will be viewed as a whitewashing of sorts and whoever gets ousted will start to complain to the media.

Speaking of media, very stupid to caption a bliggie Ewing story with a ray price photo in the article?

Great news that !

As I speak from experience in viewing how these coaches go about their business. Extremely unprofessional and think they are God's gift to the players. At Eagles, Timoni and Chimanawhatever were the heads and they did absolutely nothing. The assistant, Leonard was actually the most helpful guy there. He was friendly and always trying hard for the players. As for the heads, well, it was just a pay cheque and nothing more, in my opionion.

I really hope Zim Cricket is moving toward their post-racial phase but not so sure. I still have not seen more than three whites in the lineup and appointing all white coaches could cause a backlash.

Hope I am wrong.

What's Makoni's role within the Mountaineers franchise? Is he a coach? or is he just in the background pulling the strings?

To be honest, there are so few white FC players, that it's never likely to be much more than this anyway, quota or not...

Surely, there must be one good black coach somewhere you can spar? In fact, two would have been ideal. Like American say, the backlash can be pretty severe once people like Makoni start feeling threatened. And why didn't they bring back a proven case, like Gary Brent rather than promoting school teachers to Franchise?

Good question,
What is the anti Brent sentiment from ZC all about?
He was sublime when he was in charge.

A lot of people will just say it's a race thing but i don't buy it, more to it than that.
Racial prejudice against the pigmentally challenged may be a factor but there's plenty of them floating around the set up, in and out of the action, such as Robin Brown and AC.

So why was Brent so out of favour despite being the ideal candidate for national bowling coach ?
