Should we expect any squad changes for the NZ series ???
Although Neville Madziva was a pleasant surprise during the India series I would like to see at least one other young seamer in the squad ....
Will the selectors think about bringing in PJ Moor or Fozzie Mutizwa after Regis, Richmond and Choppa all failed to impress as the keeper batsman ....
When i heard Choppa was back I had him straight in the team, but as it has turned out he is only making himself available for the t20's and isn't playing any cricket it seems as he has a full-time job as a school teacher. I can't see a point in him being involved unless he is 100% committed ......

Wouldn't mind seeing Wellington Masakadza or Musoko given a shot. Sibanda better not make the squad

Re: Zim v NZ
Cant see PJ or Murtizwa being in the squad as they are both in the UK at the moment.
Im guessing we'll just see the same players again with the odd surprise.

I have to agree with you here.jaybro wrote:When i heard Choppa was back I had him straight in the team, but as it has turned out he is only making himself available for the t20's and isn't playing any cricket it seems as he has a full-time job as a school teacher. He's never going to be in any kind of form playing the odd T20 here and there.
Re: Zim v NZ
Choppa never has been in form. Has he ever strung together three good performances with the bat? His keeping seems to be a liability also. Better to develop PJ Moor or Mutumbami.

That's one thing our administrators have a problem grasping. What's the point of taking Matsikinyere to the world cup. How about giving the chance to a young lad who actually has a future. After all you are only ever going to get 10 to 15 runs from the earlier. Nothing to really write home about. Take Vusi Sibanda for example, I bet his a marvel to watch in the nets or on the practice field. Best technic to revile the world's best but on match day he hardly gets to second gear.eugene wrote:Choppa never has been in form. Has he ever strung together three good performances with the bat? CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
Re: Zim v NZ
Surely Wellington and Hamilton have to play against New Zealand. Is there a Nelson Masakadza out there also?

Its funny how mama and pa Masakadza thought 'Wellington' was more of a suitable first name than 'Nelson', in keeping with the New Zealand theme.

I wouldnt take any young lad to the WC for 'developmental' purposes.tawac wrote:That's one thing our administrators have a problem grasping. What's the point of taking Matsikinyere to the world cup. If you arent going to take your very best 15 to the WC, then your in a perpetual state of development.
That said, was Stuart in the best 15?
I asked Jamie Foxx this question and his response was contained below.

I am waiting for Christchurch Masakadza and Dunedin Masakadza to make first class debuts. On another note I saw a guy at a mens clothing store yesterday that looked exactly like Hammy. I almost asked to take a picture to post it here. I swear even Hammy's mother wouldnt be able to tell these guys apart!
