[U19 World Cup] Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan - Plate Grand Finale

Post by ZIMDOGGY »

The moment we have all been waiting for our entire lives is just around the corner, upon us in a few hours.

This dream team,
This rat pack,
The odds defying Zimbabwean Marbles will take on the seedy gazes of the all conquering Afghani firebrands.

Its Zanu V the Taliban,
Mugabe against Bin Laden
Mangongo against Al-Queda
Rhodesian Ridgebacks against the Afghan Hounds.

Who will win?

I'm going to say the Afghans will win; judging by the way they've performed. I'll gladly be proven wrong though

Well, the Afghans know our weakness to left arm spin, don't they? This is looking like a disaster. Why did we even choose to bat first after winning the toss?

That's taking the positives out of a poor performance so far. Murray had a good innings. How are they not televising the Plate Final yet we are watching England Pakistan? Its so annoying.

If they won the toss and chose to bat I would say that's a poor decision. The pitches seem to offer a little more first up.

Target of over 200 should be at least enough to give us a chance if we bowl well ......

Good to see Murray and Masinghe get runs after not really hitting the heights we expected them to this WC ......

Well we have a total that we can at least try and defend, and we have a good bowling attack if they're on song, so here's hoping....

Looks like two Bangladesh senior player rejects opened the bowling for Afghanistan, lol. Ziaur Rahman and Shamsur Rahman, lol.
