[Match Thread] Zim vs Afgan (World Cup 2016)

Post by tawac »

The forecast is partly cloudy with a high in the plus 40's so we should get a full game in. The Afgans being tipped as favorites so no pressure on Zim, if there is ever such a thing. Guess our chances rest on Mount Masakadza not being run out if he gets it good we have a chance. Our bowlers have defended sub par scores twice so not much to say there. Cremer's replacement Wasakadza ;) the boy has been good. Back yard cricket at the Masakadza residence must have been world class. Expected changes have been discussed elsewhere in the forum but if it aint broke...!

Go Zim Go. :W: :W: :W:

Excited for this match as its a big one for the Afghan boys. If they an apply themselves with the bat, they can win and win big. 4 games vs the big boys is much needed for their development especially after a big failure in the Asia cup.

Hope Hamid is not rested.

What is the reason? Ignore my lack of historical/cultural knowledge.

The Zimbabwe cricket team is sluggish, disjointed. Should have kept faith with the younger players who performed well in the Bangladesh series...Moor and Madziva, definitely the future of Zim cricket
