Sri Lanka A vs. Zimbabwe A

Post by Robbo »

According to Cricinfo, Zimbabwe A are lined up to play 3 ODI's and 3 ' Tests' against Sri Lanka A, Starting late April. A tough assignment, but a positive step surely?

The tour is Away . There is Singapore that is coming to play the Eagles and also i think an under 23 side so its a chance to see Ziehls new kids on the wicket play. This Singapore games for me are trap games as even if someone performs well they do not hold weight for serious selection. If someone performs badly gosh the end of a career without even starting.

From a selection perspective maybe. However, from a development perspective, especially for the younger, inexperienced players, the more cricket the better!

Really impressed that there are 3 unofficial tests. They will be tough games in testing conditions, so any good performances would certainly warrant some merit. Got to say I'm yearning for some longer format cricket....

Let's hope not, but i do hear that some National side players will be going!!! Which is a good thing for the experience and to help the hopefully younger guys. Although i hope it's not too many of them.?
It will be a good insight into just who they want to bring through the system....or just another jolly for the boys like Mshangwe, Nyumbu,Kaia,Garwe???/
