Why why- Surely blooding the likes of Burl/Ngarava/Mashinge/Mavuta against the next best sri lankans would have been invaluable
Same old same old then. we will be stuck with the sibandas and payangaras for years to come

The A tour, you mean? That totally sucks, that would have been a fantastic opportunity.
My theory would be that there are too many guys playing club cricket in the UK, who do not want to miss 6 weeks of the season.

That happened a while ago. I think we have dug through to China by now. Certainly the government has dug to China.

The U/23 tour to Singapore was also cancelled/postponed.
