We dont have good wkeepers anyway why not give Waller a chance..
gumbie unproven & inconsistent
Mutumbani terrible & not confident behind the stumps
Chakabva unreliable with the bat
P J Moor unsuitable for the job....Makes the team as a pure batsman...
Suggestions !!!
why Not M Waller for wicketkeeper

M Waller is a poor ODI player, however he would fit in t-20. PJ as as wk batsman in ODI, Waller in t-20 and Chakbha in Test matches would be good.

If we can tolerate STONEAGE MENTALITY and Melon Head should we can tolerate Rabada.eugene wrote:Can we get hhm/ZCF_Outkast/bavuma_rabada back?
Re: why Not M Waller for wicketkeeper
I agree with Mueddie on making Waller as the keeper. Based on the recent performances by Mutumbami, Chakabva and Moor, Waller seems to be the best among them in wicket-keeping. But keeping wickets for a test match and that too with Zimbabwean-bowling is a tough ask as the keeper needs to be there full time on the ground till the opposition retires. If not Waller, then Zimbabwe need to bring in and groom some youngsters (just like Taibu)
With Waller, Zimbabwe has an added batsman as well as he occasionally bowls too.
My test team would be
Mawoyo (batsman)
Chibhabha (all - rounder)
Masvaure (all - rounder)
Ervine (batsman)
Williams (all -rounder)
Waller (wk /batsman)
Moor (batsman)
Cremer(bowler)
Tiripano (bowler)
Aliseni (bowler)
Mpofu (bowler)

Why not dispense with wicket keepers altogether? Let's bring back the long-stop.
Re: why Not M Waller for wicketkeeper
We have at least two people at hand who were exceptional keepers - Taibu and Wayne James - why not focus on this aspect by holding wicketkeeping clinics? I'm pretty sure that no one get specialised training in this domain in Zim. At a time when our bowlers are far from being world beaters, a good keeper should guarantee one or two wickets a match...this would be a worthwhile investment, whoever rises to the top.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).
