What Does Our Cricket Need to go Forward?

Post by tawac »

So enough of this black this white this nonsense. If you were made ZC head what would you do to make things right. Not sure how things like the current state of the economy(which is beyond your control) would play.

We need better players. Unfortunately the system has been destroyed to such an extent it is going to be 20 years before we see that again, and that is assuming the good work starts now.

1. Fire the ghost workers.

2. Limit Admin pay to $3000 per month. None of them need more than that.

3. Open the books. Literally.

4. Draw up a transparent budget.

5. Begin a payment plan for all outstanding wages to past players. With current debts this would take time but it is honest and would build trust with the diaspora and young players thinking of leaving.

6. Engage with the Diaspora. Particularly Taylor. He could be back in 12 months from now if it could be worked out.

7. Set up a decent FC season that includes a proper fixture list.

8. Ensure proper FC & List A games are played when we tour. At least two of each. Put an end to XV a side.

9. Sort the club game out. 8 clubs each with a team in two divisions. Promote and relegate.

10. Bite the bullet and play the near ranked associates.

I could go on...

MORE BLACKS!*

*** because there is a catch.

WHITE admin, coon players.

Niggers can't be trusted with the books BUT they can make up 95-100 percent of our players on the field. Natural athleticism and stroke play is what blacks do best. However we couldn't organise an orange juice stand if we tried. I could, I'm a smart guy, but most can't.

Nah, no Indians. They don't have the country at heart. We need blacks playing and whites running the game. Blacks couldn't run a bath, and are too light fingered, so it is time to get the honest white guys to do the work. But we need a black team to show that cricket is a liberated game and open to regular Zimbabweans.

I wouldn't put a Nigerian in charge of anything, they are even more light fingered than our lot. All those Prince's will be draining the accounts within 24 hours. And with Indians you will just get match-fixing syndicates, I doubt any of those Indian types are clean when it comes to cricket. White admin it has to be. Black team, white admin.

This,
Mainly agree with 1-8, but no issue with 9/10.

Zimbabwean cricket is not run well, Zimbabwean cricket has one thing going for it, and thats possibly the strongest school system pound for pound in the world.
