Zimbabwe is always known for producing quality allrounders. Duncan Fletcher, Kevin Curran, Ali Shah were big names in 80s in both international & domestic cricket as a quality allrounders. Allrounders always add an extra value to the team as they have the capability to do both.
In 90 - 2003, Zimbabwe had full reseources of genuine allrounders and usefull lower order batsman who could smash the bowl hard and win matches for the team and could be relied upon. The quality was set so high, that it became tough for the management whom to select, whom to sit out
1) Neil Jhonson
2) Guy Whitall
3) P.Strang
4) T.Friend
5)Sean Ervine
6)Andy Blignaut
7)Mulalaki Nkala
8)Dirk Vilojen
9)Dougie Marillier
10)Heath Streak
After 2003, Zimbabwe hasn't produce quality allroundrs of that class, Elton Chigumburra, Greig Lamb, Greme Cremer, Prosper Utseya, Chamu Chibhabha, Sean Willuams were average in their approach. Chigumburra showed some attitude but his career shows he his average performer.
But in domestic cricket Zimbabwe had on the likes of Glenn Querl, Keegan Meth, Malcolm Lake, James Bruce who opted for cricket in some other nation, but its really shocking that, Zimbabwe is now purely missing some quality allrounders, who could prove an asset specially in T20 Cricjet
