We are staring off with a warm up match against the Scots Women today, can the women show the way for men in terms of qualifying? We do know the answer though.

Squad here, in any case: Sharne Mayers (captain), Precious Marange, Esther Mbofana, Pellagia Mujaji, Modester Mupachikwa (wicketkeeper), Marry-Anne Musonda, Nomatter Mutasa, Ashley Ndiraya, Josephine Nkomo, Nonhlanhla Nyathi (wicketkeeper), Loreen Tshuma, Tasmeen Granger, Nomvelo Sibanda and Anesu Mushangwe.

197/9 a decent effort in unknown conditions.

I was a bit worried when I saw Mbofana, Mujaji, Nyathi, Sibanda and Mushangwe in the squad, I had this horrible thought of Vusi in a skirt

:?

Some fantastic names in the squad. The best has to be Nomatter Mutasa. Some great headlines possible if she performs, no matter the strength of the opposition :D

Nkomo and Granger batted at 10 and 11. Hopefully that is the case due to this being a warm up. They should bat much higher. So far so good though, 5 down for 31 are the Scots.

Yes, love her :D

Good debut for Anesu Mushangwe, as usual no information on cricinfo whether she's related to Natsai.

Tough group for the Ladies with India and SL; let's see if they can beat Ireland.

238 to win against the Irish ladies. Difficult to give ourselves a chance. We kept thing under control till 35th over or so, but with wickets in hand, they were always going to hit some towards the end. Nomatter Mutasa and young Nkomo with 2 wickets each. Hope those who got decent batting practice against the Scotswomen come to the party and we overthrow them... Looks very tough tough.

118 all out is my prediction.

The Ladies showing great resolve and actually trying to build an innings. Now 62/3, 118 all out? Highly unlikely.

Sadly I wouldn't be so sure, now 92-6 in the 32nd

Looks like the ladies have been watching DVDs of the men, now 113-9 in the 36th

From 58-2 this looks like a true Zim performance
