And Cremer gets another one. It seems making him captain was the best move as he is surely leading from the front.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

Sir Graeme looking a league above associate level. Has he changed his run up a bit? It looks more wide-on than usual.

The commercial breaks on Afghan TV are a bit of a change from the usual sub-continental staple: I have no idea what the cartoon with the Kaaba was about but before that I think there was an ad for giving up your machine guns to the authorities.
All of their ads seem to show machine guns or tanks or someone loading a missile into something. Definitely a screwed up country.

I have to polish up my Pashto. Did they just call England "Englandstan" (in the last ad)?

Apparently it's "Englistan": http://thepashto.com/word.php?english=England

There aren't a lot of tongue twisters for the Afghan commentators to get through in the Zim line-up, as long as we don't select Schadendorf. A cousin of mine watched the last football WC in Afghanistan, and they were really struggling with the German names: Steiger (Schweinsteiger: the commentator omitted the Schwein = pig part of his name, maybe on religious grounds?), CaptainLam, Tom Cruise (Toni Kroos) or How-Des (Höwedes)
