4th ODI: Zimbabwe v Afghanistan

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

Will the 5th one be a dead rubber or are we going to stretch this one to the decider? Will the weather have a say again? This is the thread if you want to find out...

Lots of thinking in batting to be done.

Peter Moor is just unfit for opening job. Opening Slot Players needs to have skills to face seam bowling.Sibanda failed, Masakadza failed, Chari failed, Chibhabha failed and now Moor failed.
Again there might be a make shift opener.
Best Option Sikandar Raza should open & Malcolm Waller should take the gloves.

Lance has been talking tough saying there is no more "guaranteed employment" for the senior batsmen. this what we have been seeing for a long time. the Masakadzas and Eltons constantly getting contracts without anything to justify it. Musakanda showed what can be achieved if you apply yourself. the senior guys have no excuse. our bowling department is getting better because besides cremer and maybe chatara now nobody is guaranteed a spot. competition is key and I feel like lack of competition is making PJ complacent too. let's see how he does today because honestly speaking he has the same numbers as mutumbami right now

What good thing Masakadza did over last one year to get picked in the side?? Cricket is not played with past records

I think the duffin like batting of inshallah was making fat boy inhibited to play his shots. Still good bowling guys and first one goes down!!

Well, the whole point of bowling tight is to create chances "that must be taken". Chatara and Ngarava should be feeling like fools to have been bowling good line and length and have catch dropped as a reward.

And Chatara strikes! As I type that. Would love to see him get to his 50 ODI wickets in this match. We needed him back, we need him spearheading our attack for years to come.
