Nice to hear SL are still expecting it to go ahead, and very soon too! No mention of it from our end yet though.

Will be very difficult for Zim to perform as it will be a whole month without any cricket by the time we land in SL.

This is good to know. I'm hoping we will start hearing some official news come the new year.

Will be difficult to pick a squad after everyone’s been out of action for a while. I think Kaitano deserves a limited overs chance.
I don’t think PJ has done enough for a recall yet.
Burl has been in pretty poor form. He might miss out. Maybe Jono Campbell an outside chance of getting a go.
I think Masuku would struggle in SL so I don’t think this is his time.
Mumba might come in alongside Ngarava Blessing and Larry as the pacers.
If they are typical SL pitches we are going to need spinners. At least we have loads of spinning all rounders. Wellington and either Mavuta or Ndlovu the specialists.

I don’t mean in the XI but in the squad. If we are taking a 16-man squad I’d want a full-time spinner in reserve in the subcontinent in case Wellington got injured or something

Looks like the Sri Lanka series is confirmed but only for 3 ODIs. The T20s won't happen. Series starts Jan 16th.

Still good news though.

Yes, now I can see that the games are confirmed on cricbuzz. 3 ODIs on 16th, 18th and 21st Jan at Pallekelle.

I'm not very happy though. Should have played more games, could have started a bit early.

Afghans better come, all that omicron shit is an excuse they want to give for their players to play in PSL.

We were supposed to have 2 T20Is in SL as well but they've been cancelled as SL need to go to Oz early and quarantine, so theres no time. So it's a very quick tour for us.

Afghanistan series is possibly delayed again. They clearly don't want to come. Sounds like we have several more tours in the pipeline in 2022 too though so hopefully plenty of cricket.

How Tadiwanashe Nyangani vanished after playing just 1 four day 3 limited over games. ? He should have played the whole domestic season, a chinaman bowling talent is match winner anywhere in the world
