We are supposed to be touring Namibia in April-ish
Namibia may or may not even qualify for the WCQ, from my estimation. They are a decent T20 side, but still a very mediocre ODI unit. Makes sense, the jump up from 20 over to 50 over cricket is probably on the order of a magnitude.

I think ZC will need to organize more games vs IRE or AFG or even WI/SL...teams that not only are guaranteed to be in the Qualifers, but also have a realistic shot at qualifying for the actual World Cup. They need a healthy mix of games vs teams like NAM, but also against higher quality opposition so as not to be undercooked going into June/July.
Just looked at the League 2 table and Namibia are very close to being guaranteed of going to the Qualifier. Even if they fuck up their last games massively, there is a 'Qualifier Qualifier' repechage thing so they are probably going to be fine.

A ever your wishful thinking about fixtures is lovely, but who's paying? Namibia have good sponsors and Zimbabwe to them is a massive series and there's value in it. As always, theres fuck all commercial value in SL or WI hosting us and somebody has to stump up the cash, especially if it isn't already in the FTP. Afghanistan have made it clear they don't want to play us at all. And the other boards will make a loss.

The death of the Super League is the worst thing to happen to us for a while.

Well if the reports are to be believed (reasonable sized if), the finance model is quite simple: India makes money whenever they play, and all other teams only make money when they host India (except the Ashes series). I think there is too much cricket not involving India being played for this to be be 100% true. For example, Bangladesh hosted India in 2015 and are doing so now. They went over 7 years with only loss-making tours...how are they still functioning?

The very easy solution is to package all your fixtures under a single broadcast and sponsorship deal in a given cycle. That way, its not being done series by series with people saying "oh can't host xyz team, because we lose money" and "have to host India every year so we can make bank".

No Kriterion, I've followed CWCL2 games and Namibia are quite good, they are second best after Scotland and I can say this with a lot of confidence. They will easily qualify got the WCQ.

Cricket West Indies official Twitter handle has mentioned that "West Indies next assignments are expected to be 2 match test series in Zimbabwe followed by a 2 match test series in South Africa"

Glad to know that tests are on and finally we will see Zimbabwe play test cricket.

Rwanda, Tanzania & Uganda are currently playing an 18 match series!

If it wasn’t for the stupid ‘full member rules’ then we could have played in that series and tested out a few young players.

We are stuck in that middle ground really where we are missing out on these games and none of the full member sides want to play us

What's up with that? Surely Harare should get a game?

Who has been doing well in the Logan cup that deserves a callup? And does Inocent Kaia do well in FC?
