Douglas Hondo, since taking over Zimbabwe A as head coach, have been a major disappointment, particularly against the full member nations. Zim A under Dougie Hondo still to win a four day test. ZC are now getting successfull in arranging A series frequently, which is a great positive sign and over last one year till now they have managed to arrang 6 series over all.But When its comes to performance, Zimbabwe A is successfull only in hammering the associates and weak teams.

Re: When Zimbabwe A will win their first four day test under Hondo's Coaching Stinct ?
Its time for Zimbabwe A to be handed over to some renowned coach who can pick talents and performers, instead of failures.

No point really. There's not one ounce of difference s Hondo can make to their playing ability when babysitting them twice a year. Can't blame or praise him either way.
It's the cattle that are shit. He's just a glorified babysitter and it makes sense to pick someone on low coin, which most would assume Doug is

A Team Cricket is more about the individual player than the team, when looking at the A Team matches Streak and Taibu will be looking for guys to step up and show they're ready to take the next step to International cricket more so than the actual result .....
I will say with Streak, Ntini & Hondo being in the coaching ranks I am disappointed that our seam attack is still very average .....

Enough of Trying domestic players. Performance proved they have failed. Time to think Rising Academy players seriously, and draft them to Zimbabwe A squad

Must you continue to post the same old crap?
We get the point you reckon most of the domestic players are useless and we should use the under 19's.
You've made your point no need to make it again .....

Very true about this being more individual than team results, but Hondo has done well even based ont hose results. I think the other visiting sides have also been together a lot more, and generally have a lot to play for, while in ZIM, a lot of the players know that they are not playing to impress for Franchise cricket (because they are already contracted at FC level), or are not really candidates for the national team, with certain people never dropped no matter their short or long term performance.jaybro wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2017 11:03 pmA Team Cricket is more about the individual player than the team, when looking at the A Team matches Streak and Taibu will be looking for guys to step up and show they're ready to take the next step to International cricket more so than the actual result .....

Zimbabwe's seam attack is not average. To my knowledge, Zimbabwe's best seam attack hasn't been picked. When last were Shingi, Panyangara, Mandziva and Jongwe picked for Zimbabwe? Chatara last played a Test in November 2014, and has played just 20 LOIs since January 2015. Since then in T20Is, Sean Williams has bowled and played more than double Chisoro, Wellington and Panyangara, yet they are vastly superior. Even Tiripano who's been suprior has bowled mush less than him, with his last T20 games being in June 2016.
Once again this is why I say there are far too many silly decisions being made. It makes absolutely no sense why Cremer was appointed captain, and Hami sacked from captaining all 3 formats before his seat even got warm. But since Taibu crazy things have been happening. Meanwhile, he's making money serious off ZC via his academy with his UK partners. If Zimbabwe had continued to use the successful Wellington, Jongwe and Madziva (and Chisoro) - all very very young, then there would have been no purpose for that Academy, right? So drop the supposedly poor performing seniors (Vusi and Panyangara), drop the youngsters who have apparently not delivered, Zim get extremely poor results, with some seriously strugglin seniors who are in too highly paid contracts to be dropped, and Zimbabwe is in a crisis that desperately needs an academy to fast-track development. Before you know it, the great young hope Ngarava is bowling alongside Mpofu who averages 40, as well as non-bowlers like Williams, Raza and Mire. I mean, who in their right mind even calls that an international attack, and expects a bowling coach to add ANY value when the only proper bowlers are Chatara and Cremer - with neither completing their quotas?

Another A series loss under Hondo's coaching. This might end in a complete white wash by South African Kids.

So when will they fire HondoBlack Mamba wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2017 4:57 amAnother A series loss under Hondo's coaching. This might end in a complete white wash by South African Kids.

Relax! If Alan Butcher, Andy Waller and Dav Whatmore had Hondo's record, they would have never been fired by ZC. And if Mangongo had it for Zimbabwe, then no one here would have given him any names(of course Mangongo's A team record is way more excellent than Hondo's).
If you were saying all of this while also sharing Hondo's salary so we can compare notes relatively, then maybe there would be cause to complain.
