model. Faisal Hasnain, new MD of ZC appointed of ICC has thought of improving the infrastructure in Zimbabwe Domestic Cricket. Lets, hope his first step is to bring back Southern Rocks Franchise which was banned in 2014, owing to financial problem,its three past now, hope things have been improved now. Bringing Southern Rocks will be a great step,as the present domestic structure is very weak and less competative, bringing them back will increase the level of competition and also the player base, as some youths has good performance in domestic season 2017, when seniors were not the part of the franchise, and these youths could do well if they gets more opportunity.

Southern Rocks were supposed to get the confirmation of participating in Domestic T20 Championship 2017, being the champions of Associate Provincial League 2016. Since, the tournament is cancelled now, there might be a chance of getting the franchise back in Logan Cup & Pro 50 One Day Competition of 2017-18
