Bit of fun, and a chance to settle a somewhat nagging curiosity I've had ever since I joined the forum.
Explain your username
I'll start, though mine is pretty self explanatory.
surname Sloan, was given the nickname but an aussie pro we had in 2008 when I was a young sprog, and it stuck from there.
Particularly interested in hearing Hhm's

Some bloke at work started calling me it around the time I joined the forum so I’ve always used it as an alias

by foreignfield
foreignfield was inspired by Ramachandra Guha's brilliant book "A Corner of a Foreign Field" about the history of cricket in India (the famous line in turn taken from a poem by Rupert Brooke).
I live in a pretty remote place as far as cricket is concerned, which made it feel somehow appropriate. It's written in one word because a different forum, where I used it first, did not allow for spaces in usernames (therefore "foreign field" became "foreignfield").
Copy and paste from this earlier topic:
http://www.zimcricketforums.com/viewtop ... t=username That was five years ago, so good idea to bring this up again.

The BD part should be self-explanatory.
Kriterion is a play on the word "criterion" which is an english translation of my username on the BD forum (al Furqaan) - which I initially chose cuz I liked the sound of the word and what it meant in english.

Ming was my nickname at school (or one of them - the most family-friendly one!).
When my family name is correctly pronounced " Ming" is the first syllable.

Conant is my name. No need for an alias

The first part of my name is ''Zim' which is an abbreviation of all things Zimbabwean/Zimbabwe.
You will often see things related to Zimbabwe with the Zim in it. Like the platinum company 'Zimplats'.
It's an extremely clever play on words that is instantly recognisable as being associated with Zimbabwe.
5 years after signing up, I still gasp in awe at the ingenuity and depth of this bit of my username.
The second part of my username is 'Doggy' which is an affectionate name for a dog, the animal/pet.
'Come here little doggy'
Or sometimes it can be used in a sinsister demeaning way.
'Are you going to bark all day little doggy, or are you going to bite?'
-Mr Blonde. Pulp Fiction. 1992.
Also a sex position that resembles anal but in the normal hole.
