Looks tall, atheletic build. ZRS are set to play in first class club leagues in Vidarbha after MOU was signed when ICC Chairman visited Zimbabwe in 2017

In ZRS last season, we were getting a "Blessing". This season, we are already "Blessed"!
Look at the pace at which Taibu and co. are developing the game. Naysayers can go and hide somewhere!

So England and India? How long will they be gone for?.. I'm hoping they keep looking for fast bowlers. Surely we can find 5 guys bowling 140kph out of 14 million people. Surely.. a lot of guys who I always think have what it takes to bowl fast always pick other sports. In the private schools rugby is a big deal and I think it deprives us of some genuine quicks but in the end it leads them nowhere.. cricket at least has a future if you are good at it..this message needs to spread.

I’m one of them to a degree and I will argue with you all day long. See my posts on the other topic. If we’re now going to India and England where is the money coming from? Which sector is suffering as a result?
The main areas of concern are Club and age group, we’re effectively outsourcing programs that should be in place back home. Shorter tours with stronger squads I don’t have a problem with, burn let’s see effective mechanisms put in place for our juniors and Club cricketers first. When this produces an outstanding batsman out of the blue then I will keep quiet. Putting a picture up of a big strong fast bowler off to India is funny, post a pic of a double jointed little guy that can bowl doosras and carom balls and it would make more sense.

It really boils down to dollars and sense. What I’d like to know is where this money is coming from. If they can access this cash then why haven’t they done so before to fund age group initiatives, an academy and Club cricket? It would be great to see a set of accounts from the previous tour and a budget for this one. Of interest is the coaches’ salary- does Tatenda draw a salary for being an absentee convenor and another one for being the coach and manager of the RS? At the end of the day they can do what they like because no one can check or query anything. Then the books for age group and Club over the last few years and how this RS tour impacts this budget this year, then let’s decide if it’s a good idea or not. The RS idea is ok but it’s all in the execution. It would be unacceptable for ZC, Taibu and Matsi to get kudos for this if it’s at the expense of Club and age group. Whilst I’m at it, people that have knocked players for leaving and learning their cricket elsewhere now becomes laughable when ZC are officially doing it themselves.

A Zim cricket club with a website, nice. And Triangle looks like such a lovely ground.
