I just hope for another masterclass by Zhuwao, then no one can come up with any excuses. Special arrangements would have to be made to send him to UAE. Not good to say this, but it would also help if Burl gets one of those freak injuries of his that seem to occur to him and Williams so regularly

God bless Freeman Chigovera if he is the match scorer again!

He should be atleast tested in 2 of the T20s against Afghanistan and if he gets picked, he should play as an opener, he looks best against new hard ball then soft ball at the lower order.
His 265 came against Weak Rhinos attack and the present Kenya team relegetted to division 2 us not even 20% of that 2003 World Cup Side

Haha you are a massive fan aren’t you , this made me laugh. I’m almost on board now as well the thought of a slogger at the top just makes for such great viewing doesn’t it. Warner used to do that , now he’s a proper, boring batsman .CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 4:50 pmGod bless Freeman Chigovera if he is the match scorer again!

Cephas is certainly a risk at the top of the order, does have something of a penchant for soft dismissals, but on recent form he is a risk certainly worth taking. Even a 40 off 25ish balls is more than handy in T20 cricket.

I really hope we bat first and smash something like 350-400...that would be so awesome

I wouldn't say I'm a fan (yet) as I haven't watched a lot of him to become one (and whatever we saw of him in the 2008 Canada series clearly meant that he was nowhere near international standard at that time) but you cannot ignore the weight of these runs and the way they have been scored. And it is all in the context of the all-important qualifiers. It is life and death. We need to get through somehow to keep the game afloat in the country and people like Zhuwao have the ability to turn a match on its head in 15 minutes. And we hardly have anyone of that quality in the country. Mire gets attention for the same reason. But if teams figure out Mire's shortcomings, we need to have a backup and Zhuwao is more that qualified in that aspect.
So, yeah, this is why I would prefer seeing him in the squad rightaway, even at someone's expense. We don't have too much time left. Also, surely, let's not kid ourselves. Burl is not going to walk into the middle order and score a match winning hundred to guide us home. There are more chances of a match winning knock coming from Zhuwao (however small those chances are) than from Burl.

Should have retained Ngarava and Wellington...They were the best bowlers the other day...I guess they are trying out before the UAE tour
