So are any of the Qualifiers being broadcast?

Anyone know if the main matches will be broadcast and the links? So far havent seen anything and it would be a travesty as this is the biggest tournament for most of the countries. Would be poor if Nepal got ODI status and their fans were unable to watch it live.

Only 10 of the Super 6 games being broadcast.
The top 2 teams in group A, and top team in group B will have all of their Super 6 matches televised. B2 and B3 will only get 2 games televised, and A3 will only get 1 game televised.

Afghanistan and Nepal have a huge TV audience! Broadcasting their games can be monetarily beneficial to the broadcasters. They are so cricket-crazy that their stadiums are jam-packed even for domestic games!

It is a shame how little of this tournament is being broadcast. I think I may be a bigger fan of Associate cricket than full-member cricket.

Surprised that Afghanistan isn't having all their games televised.
Interestingly, two teams from group A (West Indies and Ireland by initial seeding) will have all matches from Super 6 onwards broadcast. But only the top team from group B (Afghanistan by initial seeding) will have the same. I think this was deliberate from the ICC given that the those 3 are probably the biggest commercial market out of the teams at the Qualifiers.
Nepal would be up there, but the ICC aren't predicting them to progress based on them being the 10th and final seed in the tournament.

I think you are right on the money, Kriterion, and this also explains why Zim are playing their group matches in Bulawayo and not Harare.

I’m confused by that. Does that mean ICC own the broadcasting rights and Zim aren’t responsible for this aspect of it and consequently aren’t entitled to revenue?
Some kind of pay per view of the Afghan and Nepalese games today would have netted millions.
Somehow ZC have missed an opportunity here, don’t know enough about it to say where or how.

The broadcasting rights for ICC tournaments are with ESPN-Star. Actually, ZC (or any other board for that matter) couldn't have done anything about it. This probably explains why even Afghanistan's games in the group stage aren't being televised. ICC and the broadcasters really missed a trick here.
