Not so clear about the test XI, but we might genuinely see a team like that for the upcoming T20 series vs Pak and Australia if the nationally contracted players refuse to play. The likes of Chigumbura might come back with an eye on impressing the Pak observers to potentially get a PSL dig, say.

This could actually be the T20 XV:

Bothwell Chapungu
Cephas Zhuwao
Tinashe Kamunhukamwe
Timycen Maruma
Elton Chigumbura
Tarisai Musakanda
Tendai Chisoro (C)
Nyasha Mayavo (WK)
Wellington Masakadza
Donald Tiripano
Chris Mpofu

Tafadzwa Tsiga
Ernest Masuku
Richard Ngarava
Brandon Mavuta

May be Chinouya / Madziva in for Mpofu if the latter decided to side with his mates in the protest.

(And I regret posting this and giving an idea to ZC)

I could genuinely make that team.

We would struggle to beat Kenya with those teams but knowing those guys they are genuinely thinking about it.

Got a feeling the guys will play the t20 games. No better chance for them to impress and get more t20 gigs. Especially for Raza because I think he genuinely has what it takes to make the IPL out of all the guys striking.

Funny you should start this topic, hhm just sent me his Test XI on twitter. Here it is in all its apocalyptic glory:

1. Zhuwao
2. Chapungu
3. Chari
4. Chakabva(c)
5. Mutombodzi
6. Mutizwa(wk)
7. Masvaure
8. Chisoro
9. Tiripano
10. Masuku
11. Muzarabani

RESERVES: Mutumbami, Mavuta, Nyauchi
HEAD COACH: Mangongo

I didn't ask which Muzarabani, knowing hhm it is probably Taurai and not Blessing.

Tiripano could bat in top the 6 of the first string Test side...no way he's #8 material in this squad of unknowns!

If only he was more lethal with the ball. Do you think a lower order of Cremer at 7, Tiripano at 8 and Chisoro at 9 could make up for a batsman getting dropped ?
