What happened to Madziva ???

Most people here on the forum know I'm the chairman of the Neville Madziva fan club and have pushed his cause for selection on quite a few occasions, but there really is no argument to be had right now. Madziva's form has totally deserted him in recent times and his numbers in the past two domestic seasons have been poor, alarmingly they seemed to get worse this season despite the low standard of the cricket.
Maybe he grew disillusioned with the game and the selectors after he was frozen out by Streak?? After getting his breakthrough from Mangongo he seemed to peak under the guidance of Dav Whatmore as he won t20 games against Bangladesh and India with bat and ball whilst also ripping apart Afghanistan in Sharjah with the ball. But once Whatmore was gone Streak seemed to favour taller and faster bowlers like Mumba, Ngararva, Mpofu and Blessing resulting in Madziva never getting selected in any squads since.
Maybe now with a new coach Neville might be inspired to get back into form and into the national side.
Interesting fact Madziva has the best average and strike rate of any Zimbabwe ODI bowler obviously his stats are of a small portion but still very interesting.
