Lineup for the 2nd Test

I suppose there is a good case to be made for an unchanged XI after a good win... but we have to acknowledge that we didn't bat as well as we could. 270 and 180 odd is not a great effort with the bat, so I think we have to bat deeper and given Raza and Williams bowled so well we don't need 2 specialist spinners IMO.
1 Masakadza
2 Ervine
3 Taylor
4 Williams
5 Raza
6 Moor
7 Chakabva
8 Burl
9 Mavuta
10 Jarvis
11 Chatara

Yeah I like that lineup BT I thought it was odd having two lefties sit on the bench when we know they’re going to pepper us with left arm spin all match.
As you said leaving a winning side unchanged has its merits but IF I WERE PICKING THE SIDE I’d be looking to bring in at least one of them if not both.

That's our best line up, bat down to 8, we have 4 spin options and two seamers.

Precisely. Pretty harsh on Wellington, but this is a safe XI to go with. Not sure if it is a great idea to prefer Mavuta over Wellington, given how well Wellington did with the bat, but given that Williams could be a good containing option, we could retain Mavuta.
I highly doubt if they go with this though. Also, they might just say we'll go with the winning XI.

retty harsh on Wellington,
He's got a glaring deficiency with his bowling action, in that his left and right arm cross as he pivots at the crease, which means he's battling to get that left arm round and high at the point of delivery, which negates his chances of putting any real action on the ball. That's why he appears to be 'floaty' when he bowls. There's too much going on at the crease and it's hindering his ability to really let rip. Williams I think is seriously a better spinner.

They shouldn't though, because there's a glaring flaw at the top in Brian Chari. Why on earth would you fly somebody out, and not play them. It pissed me off when Ryan Murray didn't get a game in South Africa, Tari in the ODI's in this series, and it'll royally fuck me off if Ryan Burl (who averages 44 in FC cricket by the way!!) doesn't get an opportunity somewhere. He's one of the few genuine batters probably suited to the longer format, alongside Craig Ervine and Mawoyo. Utilize him while he's there for god sake

You don't change a winning side. I honestly think they will go in with the same side which we had one too many bowlers. So perhaps would have Wellington sit it out for Burl and the fact that Burl bowls a bit gives the team an extra option.

I can live with that, but Burl is a top order batter, not a umber 7/8

Want to go for the kill 2-0. 8+3 means combination to draw the match which is a negetive mindset and can cost Zimbabwe

S Williams
S Raza

R Chakabva
B Mavuta
