Time to take T20 Cricket positively, giving focus to the youths, hard hitters, allrounders, quality bowlers who can bowl yorkers

Big achievement for the Afghans albeit in the least important format.

Yikes, we don't even qualify for the qualifying round directly anymore.

Wow! More ICC nonsense.

Brighter side, if Zim do get into the "Super 12", they would have played about ((6+2+1) + (5)) = 14 T20Is before the tournament proper (assuming a format of 2 groups of 7 teams each in pre-qualifying and everyone playing everyone else in the qualifying) with ICC bearing all the costs :)

And if Super-12 is everyone plays everyone else format (doubt that), 11 more matches!

So, with all the warm ups and such matches, and given that we do qualify as top 12, we get a chance to play about 25 T20I matches with ICC footing all the bills!

Do we know where the pre-qualifying tournament is being held?

No announcement so far. UAE the favourite by all accounts. Would like to see it be in South Africa from a Zim perspective.

What difference would it make in SA vs UAE?

Really is no excuses for Zimbabwe to not qualify for this tournament, probably need to get Mire back for this

WT20 is 16 teams so ZIM will definitely qualify. Super 12s might be tricky given ZIM are ranked 12th so they have no margin for error. But as long as they are in the top 16, they are good to go for Australia 2020.
