Fair question and many of us believe it would have been the perfect time to play some younger guys, but it’s very clear the No.1 criteria is runs and wickets, who ever made the most runs and took the most wickets domestically have been picked

It is a tough situation. While we should be focusing on younger players we also can't sacrifice winning, particularly against associates like the UAE. I truly believe the losing culture that our young players suffered early in their international careers (2003-2008) had a profound effect on them. Our next generation need to gain experience on the field but also in winning - striking the right balance between planning for the future and selecting the best team is imperative.

Zimbabwe's selection depends on board and selectors not on coach. If coach would have been taking all the decision, then Zimbabwe would have been one of the team qualified for the World Cup 2019

Well he’s not the selector is he? At the end of the day the selectors just do what they’re told anyway.
