Any chance someone could revise the thread title to

"Could Zimbabwe rise to Kenya levels?"

Current result would still be accurate...

Uganga have qualified for the Global T20 WC Qualifiers. Kenya narrowly miss out.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Kenya, here we are. Quite hard to imagine Kenya were a WC Semi Finalist in 2003.

Not so. Kenya hasn't produced any talents after their famous performance in 2003 World Cup, developments didnt happen which was expected from Kenya, whereas Zimbabwe has produced talents, best ones have gone for better infrastructure by representing other nations and average ones are playing in Zimbabwe. Its the fault of ZC administration.

If things were handled properly, this team by now would have been similar to South Africa or New Zealand. Zimbabwe would have been a top T20 side by now, as they used to have quality pace bowling allround talents arriving in batches in 90s and early 2000 similar to left arm spinners like industry in Bangladesh

To be fair Ugandan cricket is on the rise, they have some really exciting talents and are playing some good cricket. It was always going to be tough for Kenya to qualify.

No excuses for the loss against Tanzania though that was ridiculous. They would have qualified otherwise.

Kenya are still a much better side than the likes of Bahrain and Canada they are just unfortunate that Africa only gets 1 spot.
