Is IPL stil even as popular as it used to be?

Seems there’s more interest in the draft and all that than the gameplay
Ive not watched a single game

It is in India, although this year given the impact of coronavirus I don't think many people would have been watching. On moral grounds it should have been cancelled long back honestly, that's just my personal view, Just doesn't look right when you have fellow Indians struggling to survive and you are playing this game as if nothing is happening.

No idea if its popular or not but I've watched quite a lot of it this year. Still very enjoyable and worth watching because the quality is so high.

I think I watched one of the 30 minute highlights when my dad had left it on that channel, but otherwise I don't really care much for it.

This year really should have been cancelled by now considering the pandemic. I applaud the players who walked away, but for the others continuing, especially the foreign players, it's just disappointing.

IPL 2021 is suspended.

T20 WC and international Calender in serious jeopardy now.

One thing i used to notice with freshie indians in sydney, but possibly this was in my head or not representational, is when talking and interacting they tended to stand a little closer to you than i would say is generally understood in western culture, just a little closer to your private space.
I theorised this was because in india being crammed together is a way of life in alot of situations.

Fir a highly infectious covid flu though, thats one more cog in the spring of a hotbed for spreading the virus.
This is what 'implicit biases' means.

Players and staff now getting COVID quite regulalry. Was absolute shambles to continue this whilst everything was going on. They really can't host the T20 WC there at this rate. Has to be moved.
