Re: Zimbabwe Domestic T20 Competition 2021
A great opportunity for getting picked in 4 match T20 series against Pakistan.
T20 format is one where it is regarded as both teams have equal chances. Any team can surprise in their given day. Zimbabwe has been poor T20 side with 23 win %. Out of 82 games, there is only 18 wins and 62 loss with 2 tied games.
Hope this tournament is played in green, seam friendly condition which ZC should must offer against Pakistan, keeping in mind asians struggle in seam & swing condition.
Guys i will watch for
1) Tony Munyonga - Have 132 strike rate in T20Is, should bat higher in the order and bowl full qouta of 4 overs
2) Milton Shumba - So far he have'nt rise to the occasion, a talented left hander with some left arm orthodox spin can be useful at any time
3) Dion Myers - Fresh from his first domestic Ton in four day games, must be confident for moving to the next level
4)William Mashinge - Pacer with 134 strike rate with bat in list A, can be the guy Zimbabwe need at the lower order to do the work of Elton Chigumbura though the comparision is not suitable but this man has got the fire power
5) Luke Jongwe - Another allrounder who deserve a look. Military medium pace with clean hitting ability
6) Neville Madziva - Man who faded away after brilliant start in shorter format, was able to stop MSD the greatest finsher of all time and win a game for Zimbabwe with his cutters and slower deliveries. Guy was also in headline when he snatched a T20 win from Bangladesh from no where with the bat.
7) Brad Evans & Odendaal if they are available both were phenomenal with new ball in four day games
8) Victor Nyauchi - Has got great skills in exploiting condition, in moving the bowl, could be more then handful for Zimbabwe if he gets seam friendly condition

Good information there Raj!
I'm hopeful some players will stake a claim in the national side.

I understand the Covid situation at the moment but long term we need more than a weeks worth of domestic T20 a season. They should be playing a T20 match every week after the 4 day game.

Well at least there is a live stream. But yeah a 4 game season is pretty poor stuff. Has to be at least 12 games to be meaningful.

Re: Zimbabwe Domestic T20 Competition 2021
Very short but I guess there might not be enough time. They never play domestic cricket during winter here and I think they still need to have a domestic List A tournament. The NPL was a club tournament.

Re: Zimbabwe Domestic T20 Competition 2021
The way ZC arranged NPL it never looked like a club tournament, it seemed like a domestic tournament, such an excellent concept they should try in domestic T20 competition where club players, under 19s and uncapped will get chance to play with the national team players, and some new talents can come through and make their names.
