Thought it was best to keep this to a new thread rather than the T20 thread.

During Tuesday mornings game at Old Hararians rumours were rife about a certain former ZC player being found guilty of some kind of financial crime or corruption by the ICC.

I believe ZC were informed of the ICC ACU's findings late yesterday and will release a statement in due course. The central figure is a former high profile player. For those of us who have heard the name, obviously this could have legal ramifications so we shouldn't disclose the player name here until the ICC/ZC statement which will come very soon.

Here's a few things from Twitter this evening after the press got hold of it;

Shortly, big news involving a Zimbabwe cricket legend will be made public.

The player has found himself at the centre of a financial scandal which resulted in an intense ICC investigation.

Zim Cricket are in panic mode and will release a statement. ICC to do the same.

My thoughts exactly Sloan. Judging by Mehluli's self satisfied tweeting I doubt it's one of the comrades. He also retweeted that pic of Streak that is over a month old completely out of context. I worry Mehluli can't help himself. And I worry that it is HS as a result.

Agreed, you can tell Mehluli is overjoyed, awful little man.
He then tells the other journo, Theofilatos to wind his neck in, as if he got to the story first. Of course, Theofilatos just took it, being the soy boy he seems to be.

A pity. Either Streak or Cremer I think judging from his glee.

Really am gutted. I've had more word from a source not associated with this forum that it isn't Cremer
