Marumani is not a keeper.

Looked very sloppy with his positioning and has dropped several catches today. Even a skier which is the worst dropped catch I have ever seen.

This should not be happening, the poor kid is going to be under som much pressure for this and it will affect his batting. Don’t want to see him with the gloves again. Zimbabwe will end up ruining a good batsmen by giving him the gloves.

I don’t care if he has kept before, he is not a keeper and has embarrassed himself today which shouldn’t have happened.

It’s really annoyed me this has.

Part of an A series besides individual performances should also be about practicing game situations, plans at various stages of an innings. We cannot also just lose games as it becomes a norm, I will be disappointed if we lose this one. No need for big shots chasing a small target early on, that is a failure in that aspect on the part of Marumani today.

Time for somebody else to step up. Yes the South Africans are better but I will always feel like this kind of wicket we will always have a chance because it only takes 1 guy to have a good day to chase 227 whereas chasing 366 will need 3 or 4 guys. Our guys never perform at the same time. Low scoring games will always be our best games.

I can only remember twice where we won a 300 plus game. Against NZ when Ervine played a blinder suppoted by others and against SL when Mire also had a good day supported by others but we have won multiple low scoring games. We just beat Pakistan in a low scoring t20.

I hope Shumba does something here. He is more of a FC player. This is a similar type of situation. I only have faith in the kids. The other guys have let us down to many times

Shumba looks like he will be a Craig Ervine type late bloomer

I'm not Chamu's biggest fan but this is a good knock and a big partnership which will go a long way in Shumba's development. Credit where it's due. They cant lose now surelt
