At least we were spared the indignity of Maruma batting.

Not at all surprised, Bangladesh is the second best odi team in Asian Subcontinent, it is the odi format which is accepted by Bangladesh for their development.

Zimbabwe have to give more effort to beat Bangladesh, which doesn't seems possible as there is lack of intent in the team.Zim players are looking like results doesn't matter
there job is to play and go away.

Realistically we need 40 points from these six matches Vs Ban/Ire to remain in contention for the World Cup I think. Seems pretty unlikely at the moment.

pakistan is better. Sri Lanka pushed Bangladesh hard in the recent series, they can`t do that to Pakistan

Maruma himself will be relieved about that. I imagine games where he doesn't have to bat or bowl are his favourite.

Stats says differant thing and you have to go with stats in judging good teams. Bangladesh haven't disappointed their fans in odis in ICC Events or Asia Cup, according to their strengths that gives them edge over Sri Lanka & Pakistan as all these three teams have nightmares in touring other countries and the results are almost same.
