Our Ladies are making a better fist of it against Thailand than the the weaker sex in Namibia all week long.

Re: Zimbabwe Women vs Thailand
Good victory against a good Thai side that.
The women have had a horrendous time of things in the last 2-3 years with the ICC suspension and Covid. Suffered much more from those things than the men have. Good to see them winning.
Well done ladies & coach Adam Chifo.
P.s. the fairly plain kit looks nice. Much nicer than the crap the men have worn recently.

Zimbabwe Cricket Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani said: “Firstly, I wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the ICC board for their magnanimous gesture in allowing us the privilege of hosting the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2021.
“On our part, we will leave no stone unturned to ensure this prestigious global event stands out as a unique event that celebrates Zimbabwe in all its magnificent splendour, richness, vibrancy, diversity and glory.
“I believe being granted the right to host this tournament is a vote of confidence in what we as ZC are doing and what we are hoping to do.
“You can rest assured we will not disappoint. We will not disappoint the nation of Zimbabwe and we will not disappoint the game of cricket.”

^ I suspect finishing in the top 3 will be a step too far for our women at the moment, but if they finish in the top 5 they get into the next expanded Women's Championship (guaranteed fixtures, like the men's Super League) which could be transformational.
ICC really seem to rate us as hosts at the moment. ZC have managed bio bubbles pretty well. Fair play to them.

Whenever I tune in Mupachikwa is playing a useful knock in the great tradition of pint-sized Zimbabwean batsmen/women. Unfortunately the youtube stream is lagging behind six overs.
Two runs needed from the final over, one wicket left. Nerves ...

... nah, Sibanda shows more composure (or so I imagine) than her namesake, and hits a winning
