Just for some fun,
In the wake of the ‘emerging’ side that had some players who were anything but, who arr the players who started out with promise, but fizzled out worse than High Hefner’s erection when the Viagra wore off.
Current players only.

For me;
1. Chamu Chibhabha (c)
2.Tino Mawoyo (I had to double check that he was still an active!)
3 Richmond Mutambami
4. Sikander ‘Mystery man’ Raza
5 Tarisai Musakanda
6 Kevin Kasuza
7 Tino Mutombodzi
8 Richard Ngarava
9 Natsai Mshangwe
10 Chris mpofu
11 Tendai Chatara

I’ve no doubt missed a few.
I’ve also tried to avoid players like Maruma who never had any flocked of brilliance on the up. He’s just stayed consistently decent at Logan cup level and not international. Doesn’t count.

Who is the fastest to score 3000 ODI runs for Zimbabwe?
1. Andy Flower
2. Grant Flower
3. Sikander Raza

Among the current all-rounders who featured in ICC rankings in the top 5 ?
Again Raza

Which Zimbabwean Captain has the best winning % record in T20Is as on today?
No. 1 is Raza with 50% winning in four matches.

What are you smoking these days doggy?

Yes, Tino told me himself a few months ago that he has retired from playing; he is now found in the commentary box!
Tino now seems to be playing a stint in the Nairobi League in Kenya along with quite a few other Zimbo oldies!
Who else is playing in the Nairobi league? I saw a Neil Mugabe on a scorecard playing for Stray Lions.
Just a guess but that guy might actually be Kenyan  there are thousands of shona people who have been there since the 60s I think. Weird story

Tino, Shingi, Chigs, Mpofu and John Nyumbu are all there. Seems to be some ageing players from other countries like SL in town as well.

Sounds like the cricket version of ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!’.
Where you get the most vaguely known former international players willing to do it for a meat pie.

Would be better to open separate thread for each news article link shared - that way, that specific news can be discussed in the thread.

In the heydays of ZCF, at least zimfan1 and I would hunt down the news even remotely related to Zim Cricket and post here in new threads that got the discussions going.

Please start this again! :)

ZCF is far-removed from its heyday, perhaps we should put ourselves in the Declining XI? Do I need to publish a ZCF Declining XI at the end of each year also?
