If Sean is available, which is great news, it makes selection very tricky.

One of the big 4 will have to sit out and it cannot be Ervine as he is now the captain. Burl and Myers are the future so they cannot be dropped. I have a feeling that Raza will be the one to miss out.

The only way to play all the big 4 will be to consider Burl as a specialist spinner who can bat at No. 8. I don't think Burl will be happy with it though.

Madhevere
Chakabva
Ervine
Taylor
Williams
Myers
Raza/Wellington
Burl
Jongwe/Tiripano
Muzarabani
Ngarava

That's a pretty decent side. Williams, Raza, Wesley and Myers can easily fill in as 5th bowler.

Is this for ODI?
I think we need to have the fab 4, Blessing and Regis, and the remaining 5 go pedo and strictly young guys.

There can be no room for the Kasuzas or Chamu’s or that.

I’d go basically what you suggested. Jongwe the weak spot.
It’s a team that bats balls deep and good bowling options.

We need ALL hands on deck now for the next WC campaign.
Except Chamu.

Williams is given to making emotional decisions. Hopefully he takes some anger out on the Irish bowlers in the ODI series

Yeah, I was laughing when I read someone wrote here that Sean has been a committed cricketer for ZC for 17 years! We know all about his many excursions here :). Some his own doing, some due to ZC, some due to sulking on both sides - freak injuries, what not...

Having said that, in the last 4-5 years, he has been solidly behind Zim's cause - more than anyone else - and has led from the front in all formats and departments. A relief indeed, to see him back.

Yup, for ODIs. Actually Mumba can also be in the mix for that Jongwe / Tiripano slot. Nyauchi as a back up too.
