Zimbabwe vs Ireland First T2O

Post by zimlover »

It would not be a Zimbabwean team without the ongoing drama, love it or hate it, it is what it is! , I hope our Talented youngsters pull up well and show us they can take us forward.

I am hoping for Ryan Burl to really kick off on this tour , he has been a real revelation in last few games and has continued to grow in strength and technique,Burl now has range of shots in his technique and new found mental strength.
I never really used to rate Ryan Burl, but i can see him coming around nicely.
The talented youngsters will have to learn very quickly and sock up as much information as possible from the big 4 before they are disbanded by ZC' or fate.

The link and preview is below let the tour begin. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/zim ... cket-score

Yeah, I just hope Rajput leaves and Williams stays. Won't mind Hondo or Matsi or any local coach as head coach as long as Senior players are willing to stay.

Unfortunately a boycott at his age is more of a retirement

Why didn't Zim schedule one or two warm-up matches to acclimatise to the low temperature and high altitude conditions in Ireland?? I thought this was a given!! Now Zim is going to use the excuse of 'we are adapting" if they get whooped. Plus if its a choice between Williams, a loyal, decades plus, in form veteran allrounder and a dis-interested, part-time coach with a +95% loss record, the coach has to go. Does rajput even live in Zimbabwe? has he attended a single Logan cup game?

Your line-up looks good, all things considered. However, I wouldn't let Ngarava anywhere near a T20 match, at least not yet. He is rather wayward and expensive. I would sub him with the experienced Chatara. Its a pity Zim left Nyachi out of the team, the seam and swing conditions in Britain would have suited his style of bowling.

This link might work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ8cNLawJ2g

the team is

Marumani
Madhevere
Chakabva
Raza
Myers
Burl
Jongwe
Shumba
Craig (c)
Taylor
Blessing

Is Shumba style suitable for T20 cricket?? His batting display vs South Africa A suggested otherwise.
