Just saw Burl’s name in one of the t-20 squads. Glad to see some Zimbo faces here.
Tamim, Afridi, Tharanga, and bunch of other Srilankan and Afghani players also playing the EPL t-20, which is set to commence on Saturday.

Yeah it’s crazy how he gets these gigs, T20 probably his weakest format and his record is poor. Might be controversial this, but have to wonder if he was a black zimbo with a Shona name would he have ever have got these T20 gigs? Or is it just because he stands out and is therefore well known around the world as the brown zimbo?

Nonetheless it’s good news and hopefully he goes well!

To be fair, Muzarabani also got to play in Pakistan T20 recentlu. But thats not to fully disregard your point, as I remember at some point, Hami Masakadza was in the top 10 T20 player rankings, I doubt any glibal T20 teams came calling

Burl start his EPL campaign with a bang. He get 2 wickets from his 4 over and 73 runs from just 34 ball, including 7 sixes

Good to see him batting at 4 and bowling 4 overs. I still feel he is being under used by Zimbabwe, particularly in T20.

It's a different Rashid Khan. This one is from Nepal I think.

Burl has done well but let's not get overboard with this one. The quality of bowling in EPL is quite low, its basically Nepal bowling attack and may be just 3-4 good overseas players in the entire tournament.
