This is why as a host nation Zimbabwe are miles ahead of countries like Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands.

It has taken just 40 mins of rain to washout a game in Ireland. I'm sure Zimbabwe do a much better job of managing the ground and the drainage system.

Blessing in disguise for Zimbabwe as they would have probably lost the game

Yeah harare sports club is world class compatively but two things. Harare is high altitude and Zimbabwe has generally great weather. 2. Zimbabwe gets a lot more funding from icc to put into their grounds than the other nations and mainly uses the one ground (Harare sports club)

The rain does sound like it was pretty heavy when it fell. But yeah, we should remember these Irish grounds are basically standard village cricket fields. Not state of the art stadiums with drainage or anything.

Think the issue was the wicket as well as the outfield. Earlier there were a dozen frantic groundsmen trying to dry the main strip with bath towels, rolls of paper towels, leaf blowers and all sorts. Seems like the main cover leaked!

That's what folks. Which means a little bit if rain on Monday and we could have another washout. In any case I would want Zimbabwe to bat first.

Yeah. And score at least 250. We are good defenders.
