There was a kid named Adam Kefee in Zim under 19 world cup squad 2016. Some sources said that he had 18 tons at junior level cricket.

Streak was in high praise of him regarded him as future wicket keeper batsman for Zimbabwe
Not a wicketkeeper.

Can’t Marumani keep? I’d presume he will become the No.1 keeper batsman once Regis is done.

I can’t see ZC attempting to bring back Dane Schadendorf or Ryan Murray, and I’m not sure either are going to take the ‘long way’ to the national team via Logan Cup etc

Marumani can keep, he has kept this year for the A side and was abysmal with the gloves though.

At the moment it is Richmond.

Until one of the youngsters proves something

The best option for now is for them to make Marumani keep at domestic level this season then we see how it goes. Crazy to think that even though Regis isn't our best player, it would be a complete disaster if he got injured now

In fact this coming domestic season we should push for certain players to perform specific roles.

Burl, Myers, Wes and Shumba should bat in the top 4. Jongwe and Evans should bat at number 7 or even 6. Marumani should keep. Burl showed also get a lot more overs in. Nyangani should get regular game time. Things like that. There has to be a plan

It’ll still be a glorified club competition, the national team players won’t be bothered, and all the ‘never gonna make it’ club players will be trying to get themselves a cricinfo page

Yes 4 teams would be best, plus an academy team

It’s not even about the teams, it’s the quality of players. The National team guys always seem to play as little as possible, the U19s guys seem to end up playing very little or no first class cricket either.

The amount of games is always the bare minimum to ‘tick the box’ and appease the ICC, ideally we’d have 10-12 Logan Cup games, possibly the same or more 50 over & t20 games.

It would be great if they could get some overseas pros playing again as well, that way you could keep the five teams, by having 2-3 county players in each side. The advantage is two fold as they’ll lift the quality of the competition whilst also passing on knowledge to the local players.

Watching the rise of Namibia, it would even be great to have Namibia compete in all three of the competitions as well, I’m sure flying in and out of Namibia from Zimbabwe couldn’t be too expensive.
