Zim Women's Cricket Thread
Re: Zim Women's Cricket Thread
Very good to see. Ticking all of the ICC's is a very good thing. In fact one day in the future a competitive women's side might be what stops the ICC from demoting us. We need to keep ticking every box we can and growing the game in any way we can afford

We really need to get fans back at sports events.

Look how great this looks, and a historic match too.

Lady Chevrons 2-1 down now. Final game on Monday

That would be ZC's wet dream- only having to administrate women's cricket. 20 people to look after, no prima Donna's, top players pulling less than 1k a month and uber grateful that they're getting anything and a 10 year cushion because it's a new sport here. How ironic that our ladies may actually keep us in the mix.

I was wondering... Tasmeen Granger was one of the most well known names in women's cricket in the previous decade itself as she was coming through. She was a decent batter and a bowler too. Nowadays, I see her getting to bat very low in the order and not even getting into the XI sometimes. Shouldn't she be a lot more regular and also bat much higher up?

Don’t really know enough about the women’s team to comment much on Granger but she still seems to play the majority of matches. Looks like she had a pretty average Africa T20 Qualifiers last month so maybe that’s why she didn’t play the first two matches of this series?
