Looks like legspinners are having a great time, 14 wickets have already fallen to legspinners in 5 each for Mavuta and Chipungu, 4 for Burl.

Yes but looks like at leat Chipungu and Mavuta at least are bowling a lot of hit me balls too. They need to improve over the season. They have a good long season to get a lot of bowling under their belt. Let us see how they progress.
The Mountaineers line up looks awful really, at least from batting point of view. When I looked at it yesterday, it was actually not difficult to imagine a possibility of Wellington top-scoring for them. Nobody else seem to have the ability of / will to apply themselves.

Agreed that Mountaineers batting lineup is thoroughly dreadful. They could really do with an overseas or two joining them....CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 3:46 pmYes but looks like at leat Chipungu and Mavuta at least are bowling a lot of hit me balls too. We know why Evans is not being given the new ball, but hopefully he continues to take wickets anyway
If he takes too many maybe they'll make him bowl left arm round and through?

To be fair Kudzai Maunze is averaging in the mid 30s in the 4 day stuff over the last three years, a much improved player. He has scored bucket loads in the Kent league in the UK over the last few years.
If you have time have a look at two of Burl's catches at first slip in the live stream, two great grabs, he is some fielder.
The Mountaineers are full of players over the hill and players who have failed to build on promise such as Gumbie and Muyonga. If the Eagles don't win everything this season I will be amazed. Fingers crossed it is only the very short notice of the domestic season which is keeping overseas players and overseas based Zimbos away.

Hopefully a lot of the overseas zimbos are gonna come back soon for the season. I saw a lot of talk about a bunch of overseas players and was definitely looking forward to seeing some of them in actionzimfan1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 6:21 pmTo be fair Kudzai Maunze is averaging in the mid 30s in the 4 day stuff over the last three years, a much improved player.
