Masuku did some great things with his 6 wickets in the innings.
He is in the chivanga age group of late twenties. Gotta break through soon it's now or never

Ernest Masuku for me.
I was actually at Kwekwe when he made his debut about four or so years ago. He was quite a late entrant to the franchise scene. He bowled well in that match if I recall, got some good movement off the seam. Not particularly quick at all though - reminded me almost of some of the traditional English county trundlers who do so well in their conditions. Since then he seems to have added quite a lot of pace but maybe has lost some of the seam and accuracy.

Interesting if he can kick on and join the group of very talented bowlers we have at the moment.

For some reason, and I know it's a long shot, but I'm gonna back Keith Juare to have a very solid year. I'm a fan of the left arm, not seen any footage of him live but I'm gonna throw a bit of a blind punt on him

So with the domestic season now in full swing I thought I would ask; who is on your under-the-radar watchlist this year?

Who will be this seasons Roy Kaia. Nowhere near the national team at the start of the season, but dominated domestically and becomes a certain selection by the end of it? (Let's hope whoever it is, does better than Kaia though - he's been utterly dreadful and I hope we don't see him again).

So this needs to be someone who hasn't made their national team debut in any format (I know Kaia played 1 ODI 6 years ago but he didnt bowl or bat, so not sure it 'counts'!) and isn't really near the national team at all yet.

Kudzai Maunze the early frontrunner after his mammoth score last week.

Who else are you keeping your eye on?
Why is Roy Kaia bowling..when he has a suspect bowling action...
I think it's an unfair advantage

Just keeping tracks on a few of the names mentioned in this thread;

Kudzai Maunze - 296 runs at 59.2
Charles Kunje - 141 runs at 23.5 & 2 wickets at 18.5
Clive Madande - 92 runs at 46.0 & 4 dismissals
Keith Jaure - 70 runs at 23.3 & 7 wickets at 20.6
Ernest Masuku - 12 wickets at 24.9
Brighton Chipungu - 5 wickets at 27.0

I suppose in hindsight now we might add Tanunurwa Makoni, 255 runs at 63.8

Nice to see some of these names scoring big. Makoni is an interesting one. I heard he was a very average player but appears to be scoring some good runs

Another decent week for Masuku, Madande and Maunze.
