Now that I've heard this new I'm doing a u-turn on the Ballance situation. Houghton being his uncle as well suggests Ballance might actually be in DH's eye sight.

I doubt it'll be Dane Schardendorff. He's not achieved much since being with Nottingham and he's still very young and unproven.

I'd much rather see Matty and Nick Welch invested in, or Falao and the Bennetts.

Dustin Melton, again, I don't think is somebody in the firing line.

I'm saying Ben Curran, Nick Welch and potentially Gary Ballance now. I'm only saying Ballance because of what I've been told and that Houghton is driving this. Apparently he has a really strong relationship with him too so, who knows!

I've asked about the 'big news' and all he could tell me was that it's still under wraps and hasn't been finalised yet, but will be by the end of the week. I asked if it's a bowling appointment and he said he can neither confirm nor deny. He knows about the forum and said the board read it

It’ll be Welch, Curran and Melton at best. And not until the end of the county season.

Higgins is an absolute no, and Ballance even more so.

I still think you guys are smoking something if you think there’s even a 1% chance of Ballance tbh

I mean I hope I’m wrong

This is the likely option

It's friday, so end of the week is today.

As for the board reading the forums, well I'm definitely not in their good books. After some of the things I've said, I could offer them millions and they'd never accept
