Eighteen Under-23's have played in domestic cricket so far this season;
Clive Madande
Tadiwanashe Marumani
Milton Shumba
Marshal Takodza
Tony Munyonga
Tashinga Musekiwa
Wessly Madhevere
Tanunurwa Makoni
Alvin Chiradza
George Matanga
Kuda Macheka
Trevor Gwandu
Manson Chikowero
Nkosilathi Nungu
Davis Murwendo
Brighton Chipungu
Keith Jaure
Gareth Chirawu

That feels like quite a lot? More than usual. There's probably only about six or seven that will ever be good enough to get near a national team, but still I think this is the benefit of that 5-team franchise discussion we were having yesterday. How many of these wouldn't have played yet, if we had 3 or 4 teams?

With some notable exceptions, that is an ugly list.

Well that's good news, I had no idea there were that many.
By the time you're 25 and you're still on 300 a month you need to look elsewhere for a living also.
Chiradza used to be a good player, and Davis Murwendo used to be a really good seamer. I saw him playing a year ago and he still looked decent, but as usual with Zimbos was bowling well within himself.
One of my best memories was of Davis winning a moped at the St John's T20 festival for being the leading wicket taker.
The dude almost had to be pulled off it, he was clearly wanting to learn to ride it there and then and set off home on it. He was beaming!!! Really nice guy. He was also a good rugby player, big strong guy with some DF.

The much delayed Pro50 final is tomorrow. Rocks Vs Mountaineers at sports club.

Rocks surely strong favourites if Raza & Blessing are playing.
