You have to look at the opposition he bowled to though. I think he averaged 100+ against the Test nations and took almost all of his wickets against teams like PNG, Scotland, Canada, etc.
These are still pretty decent teams though. What I`m trying to say is he isnt a guy who lacks any venom
Wes completely lacks venom. He is a carbon copy of every other part time offie.
Fair enough, still looks much more dependable than Burl though

That discipline always is.
It’s always stable, restrictive but low wicket impact.
It kind of transcends levels of cricket. Bowlers like him will bowl internationally but also you’d see the same bowler for third grade Rooty hill CC.

Specialist off spin bowling only really differentiates itself when you’re a Swann, Lyon, Saqlain type that can get serious revs, speed variations and trick shots like the doosra (not as much nowadays though) whisky maintaining the accuracy and reliability.
They also tend to be decent batsmen via tail ender standards.
Even Nathan Lyon started as a top order batsman who only bowled a bit then evolved.

That’s my observations anyway.

Scores are up. Mountaineers win.
After a slow start to the season, the Manicas seem to have found some form in the one dayers.

Chatara might be a shadow of his former self, but he seems to be still a handful for a lot of the domestic batters in limited overs--judging only by the wickets column of course. Ervine c Kasuza b Chatara for a duck sounds like a classic nick to first slip, going across the left-hander.

PJ in the runs and keeping is a positive.

I hear there were several hundred fans at the ground in Masvingo today. Rocks bothering with social media and fan engagement is paying dividends.

Now if only the other 4 franchises cared as much...!

No scores online yet but I think Tuskers won? Or at least they were in a strong position relatively near the end

Williams got 50 and Kasuza top scored in the match
