I think they will be throwing money at the Curran boys to come back to the Test Squad.
This is an opportunity for any White Zimbabweans or White South Africans to crack the squad.
They will also be looking at poaching any under 19 batters with potential.
I think the current plan of action in English cricket at the moment is to try and have quota system that allows for the selection of two Arabs and two Asians and one or two Blacks as bowlers leaving the squad with only 7 positions for a proper English man.

Demand for white africans has come down, they will be trying for Asians now. USA has already started doing it, and got first T20I series win against Irish side, will be a good battle between two developed nation in snatching asian talentszimlover wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 3:44 amI think they will be throwing money at the Curran boys to come back to the Test Squad.

Think Asians are much tougher to poach because the actual good ones think they still have a chance. WHite Africans however are scared of quota systems etcRajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 4:12 amDemand for white africans has come down, they will be trying for Asians now. Who can blame them scouring the world when you see the below graph.
County cricket is a dismal failure for preparing test batsmen.
This is a country of 66 million+ Welsh+Good Irish players;

Damn, Root is carrying the entire organization...alone!!!. So aoart from Burns and Root, ALL other England batsmen scored less than extras, this is beyond pathetic. They have the facilities, they have high society, hoity-toity academies and private schools with budgets exceeding most third-world countries, great university cricket teams, counties...how the hell do they justify producing such an impotent bunch of batsmen? The myth of county cricket supremacy has been laid bare for the world to see..Australia can pick ANY bowler from the Sheffield cup and he can easily rip through the best batting lineup county cricket has to offer . They need to fast-track Tawanda "the next big thing" Muyeye into the team asap, he is destined to be the saviour of England cricket!!

Most of the kids fall in the "all-rounder" category, I think we have three wicketkeeper batsmen. I think we will have a clearer picture of batting positions and specialist bowlers after the first two warm-up gamesMarshmallow wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 2:48 pmCan anyone please share roles of our u19 players like batting position, which type of bowler etc.
