This super league table is irrefutable evidence that the ICC is run by a bunch of morons. Whoever came up with this format must have thought this up whilst sitting on the can. How do you do an unbiased comparison of a country that has played 9 matches (Zimbabwe) relative to the Netherlands and Afghanistan who have played 4 matches each?? Will all teams play similar opposition. This all appears to be pro-forma. Seems like the ICC are only interested in tending after thief tradition cash cows, the rest of us are just accomodated the give an impression of international-ism

This was all drawn up before COVID. It was basically finalized in 2017 when Afghanistan and Ireland got Test status. The idea is sound, COVID cancellations have made it unfortunate. At any rate, the WCSL will be cancelled after this cycle, so it doesn't really matter going forward.

The NBA tweaked their playoff forumulat due to COVID interruptions. Previously the top 8 teams would make the playoffs. But now the top 6 get in automatically, and then teams 7-10 have a play in for the last 2 spots.

Any news regarding team selections?? I would have expected them to name players for a “Northens vs Southerns” series of matches to pick their travelling team. It’s kind of a pattern in zwe that the team is announced a few days before take off, before people can debate team selections etc. the series starts in 2 weeks time yet in the era of social media and infinite means of communication, the fans (and players I reckon) are not informed….next thing we’ll see Maruma, Kaia and chibhabhas names on the team list a day or two before take-off with “experience” used to justify their inclusion
