Ive always felt SL are a great opponent for Zim.
Bdesh is getting tiresome so it would be good to have a break from constant tournaments that are becoming meaningless.
And im over the whole Afghanistan circus. i feel getting closer to them is just putting us in troubles way. Also boring to watch when we play them over and over.

SL and Windies mix it up and are always more exciting matches, whether win or lose. Always.

Yes, more of SL and Windies is definitely better.

Also when we beat SL its 'nice' and you see comments on reddit like 'Zim just beat SL!!'

But when we beat afg or Bdesh its just like 'its only Afg/bdesh' despite the reality being all three teams are extremely close in quality.

but because theres traditional prestige in beating SL, a world cup winning team and a traditional top 9 test team, it means alot more in the cricket world.

Sri Lanka have some work to do. Oddly enough they are doing well in Test cricket, at least based on the ranking system where their 85 rating puts them close to all the top teams at 100+. They have really been struggling in white ball cricket for several years now.

A lot was said about the Asalankas, Hasarangas, and Co during the world cup, but a) they only beat a torrid Bangladesh and b) they are struggling against Zimbawe at home.

I'd fancy us to beat West indies at the moment based on our players.

Ask me when the retirements come I won't be so confident
